QUESTIONS

Are there requirements to serve

Yes. At Inspire Church, we want to create a safe environment for everyone. ● For adults (18+): Volunteers are required to complete the Volunteer Induction, hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), and complete the Safer Churches course. ● For students (under 18): Volunteers can join through our Students Who Serve (SWS) initiative, which requires completing the Volunteer Induction.

What is Safer Churches?

Safer Churches is Inspire Church's commitment to creating safe environments for children, young people and vulnerable people through screening, training and safe ministry practices.

I only help occasionally. Do I still need a WWCC?

If your role requires a WWCC under our Safer Churches policy, you'll need one regardless of how often you serve.

Can I volunteer before completing all requirements?

No. All required screening, training and approvals must be completed before you begin serving.

What is a Working With Children Check (WWCC)?

A WWCC is a screening process that helps keep children safe by checking a person's eligibility to work or volunteer in child-related roles.

Who needs a WWCC at Inspire Church?

Anyone serving in child-related ministry or other designated leadership roles that require screening under our Safer Churches policy must hold a valid WWCC.

Who needs Safer Churches training?

Anyone serving in a ministry or leadership role that requires child safety awareness and compliance must complete Safer Churches training.

What happens if my WWCC expires?

If your WWCC expires, you won't be able to continue serving in roles that require one until it has been renewed and verified.

How does Inspire Church keep children safe?

Inspire Church follows Safer Churches practices through volunteer screening, WWCC verification, training, safe ministry procedures and ongoing compliance to help create safe environments for everyone.
